Hi Komal,
ReplyDeleteLanded on this page from OLV girls group. Very nice to know people in the society thinking on these lines.
There are others in the OLV society too who are consciously integrating the zero waste tricks in their life style.
And i shared this on one of their blogs:
""
With deep reverence towards mother nature I firmly believe in eliminating the waste than depending on others to recycle it. Few things that i started doing or wd do (and would b happy if others can join)
1. No garbage bag (to the environmentalist it goes without saying, but it's sad to see it being used in so many households). We can ofcourse clean bins which were filled with our own trash.
2. Try re-using utensils before putting them in sink - its easier to have less water spent on less utensils than keep poking maids to reduce the tap flow.
3.limit buying clothes. (I agree its very difficult not to be tempted with the cheap quick fashion trends we have tody. Watching 'the true cost' documentary on Netflix helped me. Only 10% of the donated clothes are actually used and rest all go to the lansfills a d we keep buying thinking donate Kar denge.
4.resuable plates and glasses rather than biodegradable disposables. Picnics, parties, whatever. This is the mantra.
5.keeping the death of the product that we are using in mind.this one is very powerful.
""
Several ideas are already floating.
Let's all get together and spread awareness in the society.
Afterall... As the saying goes:
We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."
Will look forward to your support :)
I am glad to have such response and will be there to support for spread awareness in the society about Zero Waste Lifestyle, How to reuse household items, Recycle after reuse and Refuse what is not useful..

These Garbage plastic bag India are durable and reliable. They hold up well without tearing, even with heavy loads. The size is perfect for standard bins, and they’re easy to tie and dispose of. Great value for everyday use!
